Legal

The AI Beacon is operated by an individual (yoonki). It is a community-supported project, not a registered company. Use the site at your own risk.

Terms of use

By using this site, you agree to the Guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate them. We may also remove content or suspend accounts at our discretion if we believe doing so is necessary for the health of the community, even when no specific guideline has been broken.

The site is provided as-is, with no warranty. We make no guarantees of uptime, data preservation, or feature continuity. We may shut down, modify, or change the site at any time. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site.

Auto-ingested content

The Law, Policies, and News feeds aggregate links from public sources. For each item we display the title, source, jurisdiction, a short summary (often AI-rewritten for clarity), and a link to the original. We do not host or republish full articles. Click through to read the original source.

If you are a publisher and want your content removed, email [email protected] with the URL and a brief explanation. We aim to respond within seven days.

User submissions

You retain ownership of content you post (submissions, comments, profile text). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and (for moderation purposes) modify or remove your content on the site.

Don't post content that infringes copyright, violates someone's privacy, or breaks the law. If you do, we'll remove it and may suspend your account.

Privacy

We collect: your email (for login), your username, your IP address (in server logs), and any content you post. We use this data to operate the site. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.

We use the following service providers, each of whom may receive limited data necessary to provide their service: Supabase (database and auth), Cloudflare (hosting and DNS), Anthropic (only for auto-ingested content rewriting; user content is never sent), GitHub (for the public source code; user content not involved). Each has its own privacy policy.

You can delete your own posts and comments at any time. To delete your account entirely, email [email protected].

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication only — to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics.

DMCA

If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, send a notice to [email protected] with the URL of the infringing content, identification of the original work, your contact information, and a good-faith statement that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
