About

The AI Beacon is a focused community for people serious about artificial intelligence — its law, policy, industry developments, and societal implications. The audience: founders, researchers, attorneys, policy staff, investors, journalists, and curious readers who treat AI as their primary professional or intellectual focus.

The site has three auto-curated feeds and one community board:

  • Law — federal AI bills from Congress.gov, state bills from OpenStates, and AI-related litigation from CourtListener.
  • Policies — federal AI rulemaking and agency actions from the Federal Register and NIST.
  • News — aggregated from major AI-focused publications, lab blogs, and tech-policy reporting.
  • Board — community submissions (Top / Latest), Hacker News–style.

Auto-curated content is filtered by Claude Haiku for substantive AI relevance. The community board is for everything else: links worth discussing, original analysis, technical writing, and questions.

Comment on anything. Submit links and posts to the board. Earn cred when others upvote your contributions. Voting is permanent; be deliberate.
