IA Iowa Code 728.12: Sexual exploitation of minors through synthetic imagery (legis.iowa.gov)

Expands sexual exploitation law to criminalize visual depictions of minors—including AI-generated, deepfake, or manipulated images—that appear to show an identifiable minor in sexual acts. Existing criminal penalties apply.
